Catching Up
I'm back--had a nice 10 days in Fiji. If anyone wants to know about diving the Fiji Aggressor II, let me know. Overall it was a great trip. I really do hate airline travel these days...I wonder if they can make it any worse...
MVP Summit
Sunday after I got back, I met with two Visio MVPs, John Marshall and Graham Wideman as well as Visio alumni, Cindy Leach. We had some catching up to do so we took a ferry ride and enjoyed the sunny day. It was great to see John and Graham again. Thanks for the 5lb Hershey bar John! I hope all the MVP's had a good time during the Summit.
Welcome to Redmond, Visio Team!
The Visio team has moved into the brand new building 36 here on campus. It's truly an end of era event; Visio has been in downtown Seattle since 1992. But it's great to have them with us on campus. You'll get used to the commute...eventually...I enjoy my “quality time“ with NPR.
Slightly Mixed Results on the “SDK in the OS” question
While some respondents supported the idea enthusiastically, others were more cautious about “bloating“ the OS. Seems like having a few more key developer tools and a quick link to the Longhorn Developer center would be nice, but not everyone thinks including all the samples and docs directly in the OS is the right move. No decisions have been made--we're in the exploratory phase. Thanks for the feedback. Keep it coming.
