There is a potential problem with this -- one that you need to be sensitive to.
I'm often guilty of the one word response, and it comes from dealing with many, many customers who need to know that I have gotten their note, understood it, and acknowledged it. Thus, I often am forced to respond to things with that acknowledgement.
Thus, it's audience dependent. With Jeremy, he doesn't need this acknowledgment. With a majority of my customers, they do.
