SMS 2003 vs Tivoli Configuration Manager Comparative Documents Available
Patricia Seybold created two documents comparing SMS 2003 with Tivoli Configuration Manager. The first document offers a business level overview that you can share with the business decision maker. This document intends to highlight the business decision criteria customers should take into consideration when considering change and configuration management for their enterprises. The second document includes the executive overview, and then drills down into the various functions offered by the two products. The purpose of the document is to familiarize a administrator with responsibility for configuration management to compare how the various functions would be performed using SMS 2003 as compared to Tivoli. This document forms the basis for administrators and organizations planning migration from a Tivoli environment to an SMS 2003 environment.
