The MOM 2005 Deployment Guide provides detailed instructions and best practices for installing MOM 2005 components and for upgrading MOM 2000 SP1 to MOM 2005. This guide explains how to install all MOM components on a single computer and how to install MOM components across multiple computers. This guide also covers installing MOM 2005 in advanced configurations, including scenarios involving multitiering, firewalls, multihoming, or on clustered servers.

The MOM 2005 Operations Guide includes guidance and recommended best practices for backing up and restoring, maintaining, optimizing and monitoring MOM 2005 in an existing IT infrastructure. The first two components, "Introducing the MOM 2005 Operations Guide" and "MOM 2005 Feature Overview" are currently available. Additional components of the MOM 2005 Operations Guide will be added as they become available.
