How much of this is new for Vista? Couldn't most of this have been implemented using than existing shell property handlers and COM interfaces (IPropertySetStorage and IPropertyStorage)?

It just seems to me like there's a lot of reinventing the wheel going on...

PatriotB asks "Couldn't most of this have been implemented...?" It's just code, so yes all of this could have been invented to run on the Apple //e. It's the user scenarios and the emphasis on search and organize that are new.
