Palm Treo 700w launches

In his CES keynote speech yesterday BillG announced the launch of Palm's Treo 700w, running Windows Mobile 5.0. The device is expected to be on sale today in the US with the Verizon Wireless carrier.

The device has a 240x240 touch screen (although its branded by Palm as a Smartphone - Microsoft would call it a Pocket PC or PDA as its running the Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC software) with EV-DO, Bluetooth and IrDA radio. 128MB rom on the device with expansion is through an SD slot in the top and a 1.3 Mpixel camera in the back. Its listed as having 15 days standby power and 4.7 hours talk time.
