Mark, No other application looked like usign my web cam at that moment, however I reset my computer, try again and now is working like a charm.

Could you send me or publish the code for the web cam stuff?,

the thing works on my new hp laptop hp dv 9000 built in web cam.  the laptop has dual turion dl-64, (2.3 ghz x2=4.6), 3 gigs of ram, 240 gb hd, man its sweet

Webcam works well alright with dv9500 hp (like the guy on your first comment) But i hope theres a way to make it like stay in there and in the same time, would be able to use on yahoo webcam. It seems it doesnt work together.

Its about time some one's has made one but it does not work and i have the LifeCam VX-6000 and tryed rebooting my PC but have had no luck. If you could tell me how to activate it it would be most kind of you. Thank you?

What if we have more than one webcam installed? Is there a way to pick a source? It's displaying the webcam I don't want to show...

Great gadget, I was hoping someone would create one for Lifecam vx6000. Problem though, I installed your gadget and it's showing me my cable tv I have plugged into my media center, not showing me my running webcam. Any suggestions???

Working on my Hp dv9000 builtin webcam. Works with Manycam as well, allowing you to use it and another webcam program at the same time.

I'm having a problem about this web cam on HP Pavillion 9000 laptop, and i need to know how to acitivate it, everytime when i want to use it during Msn Messenger and i wanted to talk to my friends, they can't see me, please help me out!

It gave an error when my HP Pavilion dv9000 built-in webcam was already in use by QuickPlay. I closed it, and within a few seconds it was working perfectly.

thanks for this great gadget, it works absolutely fabulous with my Logitech QuickCam Express.

I wrote a Webcam gadget once as well, but mine could only handle "external sources" as it consists of only HTML and JavaScript. I got many requests for an additional source: a local webcam.

So my question to you is: how would you feel about it if I add your gadget-functionality into my gadget? I will ofcourse mention clearly that local-functionalities are written by you.

The gadget works on my cheap-bum Vimicro USB cam, BUT there i cannot find a handle to move or close the gadget. It's not that i dislike the gadget itself, but i'd need to flip the picture not to have the people in it hanging with their feet from the roof, and for that i need the camera control, which won't open since the camera is streaming to the gadget...

Apart from that little detail, thanks for your proof-of-concept!

Works on my MacBook Pro running Vista. Is there supposed to be a 'Settings' option ? All I could do is turn it off, didn't seem to want to undock, and no right click menu. Also is there a way to take a snapshot & save it ?
