Vista and Office Developer Roadtrip kicks off tomorrow

Published 21 January 07 07:20 PM

Friday past was the main developer launch event for Windows Vista and Office 2007 at Thames Valley Park in Reading. It was a big day for the team as we have been working on it for the past couple of weeks constantly and before Christmas for some of the team. We had a good crowd along and I hope everyone enjoyed the sessions. My WPF went well I think and the Office Open XML talk (although not as shiny as WPF) went okay bar a couple of weird issues with a SQL server database right at the end.

If you missed the event or the hands-on-day on the Saturday you can still be a part of the biggest product launch in 10-odd years (I'm taking 95 as the big one before this) by watching the pre-recorded sessions and the keynote - Windows Vista and Office Developer UK Launch online

The best bit of the event was getting to talk to developers like Simon, Ben, Phil, Rich and some I didn't meet but blogged about the event like Darren and Ben.

Anyway, we are off on the road tomorrow as you may have already read so Daniel, Martin, Mike and I may be a little quiet for the next 5 days or so. But, we will be communally blogging through the Live Spaces so please point your feed reader at it and check out the fun as it happens - UK Vista and Office Launch Tour
