FeedGhost RSS Reader - WinForms RSS reader by UK micro ISV

Published 05 April 07 10:53 AM

I got an email from Stu Smith at BinaryComponents Ltd who produce FeedGhost a new RSS reader built on .NET and WinForms technology pimping their new product and seeing if I wanted to try their service out.

It looks fantastic and goes to show you can achieve a very slick UI using existing technology. I did have some banter with Stu that it should really have been built on WPF but their reasons for going this route were well grounded and they seem to have achieved the same effect without it.

The other nice thing about this is their business model. They are a Micro ISV which means there is only a few developers involved in the business and they intend to make a profit by charging for their synchronization service which places them in the Software as a Service camp. It looks like our local ISV/SaaS blogger Mr Nelson has already checked out Feedghost, so maybe it's worth a download and play....
