Set up Virtual PC with a loopback (or physical) adapter; ensure you can hit your virtual PC site from your physical machine's browser. Now connect w/ActiveSync, which will bridge your device to the laptop's networking. From there, you should be able to browse the site using the same URL as you did on the laptop, with the "/m" added of course!

The SOTI controller makes your device show up on the screen for demos, otherwise it works the same.

Good luck!

re: SharePoint on your Phone!

(SPV) This was probably the first WSSv3 site on the Internet :-)
The default site mobile view is not working on the top level site due to a bug but you can view my blog on a mobile device http://www.wssdemo.com/blog/m

re: SharePoint on your Phone!

(Martin) We are running Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 and have a real need to make the mobile views available. Currently, I'm not aware of any solution that does this for WSS 2.0 or SPS 2003. You could build one using ASP.net and the SharePoint 2003 / WSS 2.0 object models, but I'd expect it would be quite a lot of work.

DEVICE REQUIREMENTS: SharePoint on your Phone!

Can you tell me what the device requirements are? It looks from the views that the only requirements would be a wap browser. However to make it useful once you consume documents off the mobile views, you would minimally need document viewers. Optimally, you would be using Windows Mobile 5 PPC phones with choice displays! :)

Just Another Mobile Monday » Blog Archive » Shaepoint on Your Mobile Device!

PingBack from http://justanothermobilemonday.com/Wordpress/2006/07/31/shaepoint-on-your-mobile-device/

Sharepoint 2007 will support mobile devices view - Tech[dot]Blog - All about Computers, Mobiles and The Internet

PingBack from http://thinkabdul.com/2006/08/01/sharepoint-2007-will-support-mobile-devices-view/

SharePoint goin mobile

Check out this excellent post from Martin Kearn on&nbsp;how Sharepoint 2007 is going mobile.
I tried this by modifying the schema.xml file for the dicussion list, setting MoliveView="TRUE" etc (as it was recomended in msdn2) for the particular list view and it did not work out for me.
