They want Dev, staging and production envirnment with around 700 hundred users creating content and approving content. on intranet and internet site providing custom user services. They also want project server 2007 on the same farm. So I used the following topology

Production

2 Front End Web Server for MOSS with H/w NLB, 1 Application Server for Project Server 2007, 1 Index Server

Staging

Single Machine with seperate Farm

Development

1 Front end server

1 Index + Web Trends for Production

A Strong SQL 2005 Cluster at the backend.

Now I have two question

1. Is this topology OK and if No any suggestions

2. Do I need to stop the Windows SharePoint Services Web App on Project Server machine?

I will be thankful for your response.

Have you found that to be the case?
