About the Author
I was born and raised in the UK, educated in Surrey and have studied Aeronautical Engineering, Electronics and Computing. I was lucky enough to get an apprenticeship at a small IT support company that grew and evolved to provide numerous services including Hardware support, on-site support , maintenance contracts and mid-range brokering.
In 2005 I left my comfort zone and moved from the start-up world to the land of the large corporate. i began working with Microsoft in their Partner Account Team then moved to work for Microsoft EMEA in the Emerging Business Team; helping young companies with disruptive technology and aggressive growth plans. I now sit back in the UK Subsidiary in the newly formed Emerging Partners Group; helping to identify and support the High Potential Microsoft Partners of tomorrow.

Now this is the story all about how,
My life got flipped, turned upside down,
And I'd like to take a minute just sit right there,
I’ll tell you how i got to Microsoft and the story of my career.
In Yateley in Surrey, I was born and raised,
Playing sports is where I spent most of my days,
Chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool,
And all playing some soccer outside of the school,
When a couple of guys who were up to no good,
Started making trouble in my neighbourhood,
I got in one little fight and my mom got scared,
And said “You’ll learn about computing and stay inside instead”
I begged and pleaded with her to let me play,
But she gave me an Amstrad CPC464 and sent me on my way,
She gave me some games and a copy of office
I put my walkman on and said "I might as well kick it!"
Syntax error!, yo this is bad,
I did some courses, learnt electronics and autocad,
Is this what the people of IT are livin' like,
Hmm this might be alright!
I whistled for a cab and when it came near,
The licence plate said "Fresh" and had a dice in the mirror,
If anything I could say that this cab was rare,
But I thought nah forget it, I’ve an interview at MS!
I pulled up to Microsoft in 2005,
And I yelled to the cabby "Yo, homes smell you later",
Started working for Partner, I was finally there,
Now I work for the Emerging Partner Team and sit in a blue chair.
