Silverlight is the technology that Microsoft has marked as the key to its future, this piece of technology truly revolutionises the web experience.

Silverlight is Microsoft’s answer to flash or Adobe AIR (Adobe Integrated Runtime), Silverlight is a cross-browser, cross-platform plug-in for delivering the next generation of Microsoft .NET–based media experiences and rich interactive applications for the Web.

Adobe AIR, formerly code-named Apollo, is a cross-operating system runtime that allows developers to use their existing web development skills to build and deploy rich Internet applications to the desktop.
