I could not get others to download it to be able to test the photos sharing. But I really enjoy the New reader I am glad i was able to download this and will still be using the New reader. Looking foward to you all going to Winodws Live and Vista ready.

Microsoft yet again pulls the plug on a great project...

I'm hoping the wool is pulled over our eyes, instead of Vista apparantly turning out to be little more than a minor upgrade.

Imagine Max the default photo viewer for Vista, as well as the successor to the antiquated Paint (http://www.getpaint.net). I believe it would be a refreshingly slick move on MS's part. Max and Paint.NET both are fantastic programs that should be included at least with Windows Vista Ultimate Editions Extras.

Well, that at least explains it! I could never figure out what Max was really all about. Parts looked cool, but it was awkward and I couldn't see myself using it. The introduction of RSS was just weird. But it really was never going to exist ... Weird.

It's really sad to see Microsoft Max being dead. I've seen the screenshots, and even had the chance to try it out, but I never felt like it.

Even if the project is dead, I hope the creative and technical talent of the members still exists in Microsoft today.

MS Max shows that Microsoft is capable of doing some really neat things like Apple, and I really hope that the promise to see it in Windows Live becomes a dream come true.

With Framework 3.5sp1 out and WPF now matured, it would be no big problem for Microsoft to re-release this wonderful software or at least put the source code on codeplex.

Max was the last feature of longhorns original ideas, so please give us at least that little back.
