&lt;p&gt;I'm hoping the wool is pulled over our eyes, instead of &amp;nbsp;Vista apparantly turning out to be little more than a minor upgrade.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Imagine Max the default photo viewer for Vista, as well as the successor to the antiquated Paint (&lt;a rel="nofollow" target="_new" href="http://www.getpaint.net"&gt;http://www.getpaint.net&lt;/a&gt;). I believe it would be a &amp;nbsp;refreshingly slick move on MS's part. Max and Paint.NET both are fantastic programs that should be included at least with Windows Vista Ultimate Editions Extras. &lt;/p&gt;

I've seen the screenshots, and even had the chance to try it out, but I never felt like it. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Even if the project is dead, I hope the creative and technical talent of the members still exists in Microsoft today. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;MS Max shows that Microsoft is capable of doing some really neat things like Apple, and I really hope that the promise to see it in Windows Live becomes a dream come true.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Max was the last feature of longhorns original ideas, so please give us at least that little back.&lt;/p&gt;
