Packing my office...brings clarity

In preparation for my move to Redmond, which is currently scheduled for two weeks from Tuesday, I've spent most of this weekend in my "office" (aka spare bedroom), trying to decide which things need to be transported by "me" v.s. those things which will end up in storage.

So many things seem "crucial" but I can't take everything so I've been forced into "decision" mode.

Certainly I have to take my musical instruments (3 electric guitars, one acoustic, two bass guitars and various keyboards), but do I take the CDs, the software CDs/DVDs, and what about the cables, screws, tools....decisions, decisions.

To top it all off I'm listening to the copy of Harry Nilson's "The Point", which reminds me of the late 1960's and my first major time of decision (about college)..

The longer I live the more I find value in spring cleaning!

Give it some thought...what could you do without and what do you absolutely need?  The viewpoint applies to software as well as life especially when you're trying to ship a V1!
