Marie's Blog

Visual Studio Community Central

Let me introduce myself...

My name is Marie Hagman and I joined Microsoft five months ago after spending two years as a developer at small software company in Seattle. Previously I graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in Computer Science. I am now a Program Manager on the Visual Studio Community team and I work on features for community integration in VS. In Visual Studio 2005 (codename Whidbey) we will be extending MyHelp to search for code content such as snippets, item templates, project templates, and samples from third-party community sites. The vision for future versions of VS is around engaging in community via the IDE from a communication perspective (IM integration, blogging support, reading news groups, RSS feeds etc.). My hope is that readers of this blog will help to shape the plans for these features and more...

Hello,

it's nice to see that MS will extend VS with community things using this new MyHelp. Can you post a little bit more about some details?

Thanks,
Kosmos
