It's A Live (Mesh)!

A year ago I joined a team building a top secret project. Today we threw off our invisibility cloak and revealed ourselves as as Live Mesh. Come on over and browse around. Subscribe to our team blog, where I'll be posting from time to time. Then come back here, for two important reasons:

  1. We are hiring! Our Test team has immediate openings for great Macintosh, Web, Windows, and Web Services testers who code as well as they test. Contact me if you are interested.
  2. I have two Live Mesh invites to give away! Leave a comment describing the devious ways in which you'll test Live Mesh. I'll select two responses at random from all comments posted by Midnight PDT on 4 May 2008 and send their authors invites.

If you find a bug, please post it to our forums. I am focusing on our not-yet-released Mac client and so don't know much about anything else! <g/>

*** Want to work on Live Mesh? I need a tester! Interested? Let's talk: Michael dot J dot Hunter at microsoft dot com. Great testing and coding skills required.

I went to the Learn More page and got confused by this sentence "working together to give you anywhere access to the information you care about." - what is 'anywhere access' ?

I think a page explaining a new product should use better English

Here, here, here! Pleaaaase :) If I am the lucky guy, please send an email to davidacoder at hotmail.com, but I would actually want to use a different Live ID (which I never give out because of spam fear), which I would let you know then.

Phil: Thanks for your feedback; I'll pass it on. I view "anywhere access" as meaning all of your data is available to you all the time, regardless of where you are. It's on your laptop, so you can access it when you're offline. It's on the Web, so you can access it from other people's machines or your cell phone. Wherever you are, your information is there too.

David: If you're selected, I'll send you an invite to the email address you provided. I won't need to know the Live ID you'll use to sign in.

Hi micahel,

I’m a med student currently working on my thesis, the task of which is signifficantly hampered by the fact that my girlfriend is currently staying abroad... The visits to her and my family are currently involve some very *sophisticated* emailing-arround of papers and other stuff I need at the different places so live mesh could realy help me out of a tight spot there... ;-)

best regards,

Max

Hey

If you would happen to have any invites, I would love one, so I could begin to finnaly sync all of the computers and devices I use all over that cannot be connected via a network.  My email is    ryanerdmann(at)hotmail(dot)com

Thank you very much,

I have a Sun workstation running Solaris, a Sun workstation running Linux, two Windows machines (XP and Vista), and two Macs (an iMac and PowerBook). I'd like to see if Live Mesh can do a better job of allowing me to share the data between all these computers without the complicated network setup and router configuration I'm currently plagued with. I'm rob at standefer dot com.
