Mr. Howard,

Regarding services in Vista, would it be possible for you to blog about how they interact with usermode apps?

Currently, I have a FSF that communicates with a userland service, which in turn commnicates with a GUI app via pipes. Will this model still work in Vista?

Some of what I've read online has indicated that services can not be accessed via user apps that have fewer priviledges, however, I find this hard too believe (too many apps would be broken if true).

I appologize for such a lame question; the facts along with rumors often end up mangled together online.... Not sure what too believe.

Thanks,

m.
