About Microsoft Bob
This blog is intended as a place to share my experiences around software development, architecture, and databases. I'm a Microsoft employee, currently working in our Consulting Services group specifically with the Dept of Defense. I've been at this over 25 years, so I figure it's time for me to start sharing. I'll share whatever I can from that experience as well as from my academic pursuits (pursuing a PhD from Auburn university). Most of what you'll find on this blog will pertain to SQL Server tips, techniques, guidance, Software architecture patterns and software automation (my main research area), and the Visual Studio Team System, .NET, and Team Foundation Server. I'll also splatter in some SOA stuff and BizTalk/SharePoint knowledge sharing. I'm a big tools person, so you can expect to find tools, especially as it relates to facilitating efficiency, quality, and functionality for SQL Server and .NET applications.
