Dr David Dembo – Biography

Dr David Dembo leads Microsoft’s Health and Human Services business in Australia. He is responsible for the company’s strategies and growth within this key focus market segment.  He joined Microsoft in September 2006 after six successful years at IBM where he was responsible for Business Development within Healthcare across Asia Pacific, in IBM’s Health & Life Sciences Business Unit. Prior to IBM, Dr Dembo spent three years working in the Pharmaceutical industry with Merck Sharp & Dohme, where he was responsible for development of CME programs and the coordination of a National General Practice Decision Support Trial.

 

David received his degree in medicine from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, in 1989. After five years in clinical practice working in South Africa, New Zealand and Australia, and having established a chain of medical clinics David completed an MBA and MIM (Masters of International Management) from Bond University, receiving the university medal. David also has a Postgraduate Certificate in Health Economics from Monash University, Melbourne. And a Postgraduate Certificate in eCommerce from UNE.
