Installation of Microsoft CRM 3.0 on SBS 2003 R2

As you probably know, SBS 2003 R2, changes from SQL Standard Edition to Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Workgroup Edition.

When you do a ‘Standard’ installation of Microsoft CRM 3.0 on Windows SBS 2003 R2, you receive the following error messages:

“The Website for installing SQL Server Reporting Services 'Default Web Site' already contains Reports or ReportServer virtual directories.”

“The following databases already exist on the specified SQL Server: ReportServer ReportServerTempDB.”

There is a known issue that involves Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 (Windows SBS) Release 2 (R2) and Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 that prevents you from doing a ‘Standard’ installation of Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Follow the steps included in this download when you install Microsoft Dynamics CRM with Windows SBS R2.
