Happy Star Wars Day !!!
Happy Star Wars Day - ”May the 4th be with you” <groan>
Today was the first day of WinHEC - we have some VoIP (Voice over IP) demos running in the innovations room, this includes a Broadcom phone running a pre-release version of Windows CE 5.0, Atrium phones running Windows CE 4.2, combining voice and video, and a Windows XP Laptop running Windows Messenger 5.0, all of which connect to a Windows Server 2003 box running Live Communications Server (which is actually an Alienware Area51-m device), come and check them out - the exhibition hall seemed quite busy this evening - after recording our sessions at MS-Studios last week (and making sure the demos worked!!) I'm really looking forward to delivering the Windows CE, Windows XP Embedded, Windows CE Test Kit (CETK) [combined session with James Zwygart] and Windows Embedded application development sessions - the application development session is light on slides and heavy on demos, I write the same application using Win32, MFC, and the .NET Compact Framework, these demos really show the strengths of each 'framework'.
I will try to get some photos at the event tomorrow so you can see what's going on...
