Pocket PC Robot - Walking.

Joseph Wu has been busy working on his Pocket PC Robot - It looks like the robot has a limp, that's because one leg is using digital servos and the other leg is using analog servos. So only one leg can hold the weight of whole body.

JosephWu - Walking Robot

Joseph is planning on doing some more work on the robot over the coming weeks and months - I will post more information as this becomes available.

This is awesome! I would love to see some sort of a kit created to let people extend their Pocket PC to be a robot’s brain.

I'm back. After several weeks of nothing but work and a couple days debugging my dead network connection (I finally figured out that my TCP/IP stack blew up so I had to re-install them), things are normal again. Catching up on news, it seems like I missed a lot of things over the last few weeks. Google's desktop search program, Jon stewart owning Crossfire, Soxs down 0-3 and then end up winning the series , etc..etc.. Upgrades This is more personal news than real news. I recently made several upgrades to my computer. An old CD-RW (4x) burner/DVD Rom was replaced by a new BENQ dual layer 16x DVD+R/-R burner. So far I'm loving this device although I haven't tested the dual layer capabilities due to expensive media. Next up, I finally cleared my work area. This leaves me more room on my desk and in particular, I made room for my other 17" monitor on my desk. I also happen to have a GeForce 4 Ti 4400 which has DVI output. I picked up a DVI-VGA adapter and boom, true dual monitor support. Additionally, I have space for my laptop so I could technically have a third monitor. This will probably be my last modification to this computer until I finally decide to upgrade my motherboard (some generic one), CPU (1 ghz) and case (yep, I'm gonna mod it). Pocket PC robot This looks neat. Creating a semi-functional robot out of a Pocket PC. Looks like a cool project...
