Replacing the NK.BIN image...

Assuming that you’ve built a Windows CE image that supports H/D (or compact IDE Flash on the eBox) and have downloaded the image to RAM from Platform Builder there are a number of ways to get an image onto the underlying media of the device.

When you boot the O/S image from Platform Builder you will see a folder on your device called “Release” this is a special folder that maps the contents of your desktop build release folder to the ‘Release’ folder on the device, so anything you drop into the Build Release Folder on your desktop can be seen by the Windows CE O/S image.

Simply copy your NK.BIN file from “Release” to “Hard Disk” – this will overwrite the original NK.BIN file on your flash media (eBox) or drop an NK.BIN file onto your hard drive – if you want to boot the O/S image on an x86 “CEPC” take a look at the Windows CE documentation for “BIOS Loader” or “Loadcepc”
