Ha! It's a "my search tool has cooler 'hidden' features than yours!" :)

It also does the standard "15 persecs in cm" like google does, but google will also give you an answer for "half a cup in teaspoons", whereas msn doesn't.

I do like the fact that msn still does a search on the term, whereas the google calculator gives you the result and nothing else - what if you really wanted to search for the string "half a cup in teaspoons" instead of working out how many teaspoons in a half a cup...

I just happened to catch the end of a presentation today and saw this being demonstrated - I thought that was pretty cool.

I've had Google as my homepage for quite some time now but have decided to give MSN Search a try - It's interesting how you get used to the UI and result look and feel for your search engine of choice - Google for example has a very clean UI and clean results, nice.

Does Becks have a way to make it solve for all the roots of equations with exponents, or just the first ones it hits?

Even if not, it's very impressive. I won't tell the kids yet, though, as I want them to learn algebra the old-fashined way!

I have never seen a feature like this before on any other search engine in my life, no no not at all. Google doesnt do this at all, nope, it doesnt.

5x + 4 = 30
5x = (30 - 4)
x = 26/5
x = 5.2
