Microsoft's Support of Financial Services Standards

There seems to be a bit of confusion in the financial services community about Microsoft's commitment to industry standards. As many of you know, on the technology standards side (WS-*) Microsoft is the clear leader in this space. On the industry side Microsoft is devoting time and energy in the industry standards communities. I have been devoting a lot of my time to IFX, ACORD and FSTC boards and working groups. We have been investing in the building industry software factories to jump start development efforts of the financial services community.

So what's included in an industry software factory:

  • Provides you the help needed to build a specific line of business application
  • Incorporates a variety of guidance content types and form factors
Architecture and design guidance, patterns, and how-to’s
  • Reference implementations
  • Application blocks

Pre-Built Industry Factories
