What is new in the Visual Studio Web Tools area compared to March CTP? Numerous bug fixes as well as first version of the Visual Web Developer Express. VWD Orcas Express download is bigger than in VWD 2005 Express largely because of the new HTML designer. Express edition is also considered a CTP rather than Beta1.
There are two known issues in VS Orcas Beta 1:
1. CSS editing tools may appear disabled. Workaround: copy CSS21.XML file from Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OFFICE12\SCHEMAS\CSS to Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7\IDE and restart Visual Studio.
2. Some HTML Designer UI may appear in English in localized versions of the Beta1. There is no workaround for this issue unfortunately.
