Long Time...

Long time between updates! I felt I couldn't let another month go by without a post, so here I am.  Yes still working on getting Terrarium 1.2 ready to release (it is real close, honest!) and working on the “next big thing”. On that last note, I leave you with this:

Yes, do explain the robot. Personally I'm hoping it's a hint of things to come, something ala http://robocode.alphaworks.ibm.com/home/home.html

I'm thinking the mech is a 'skin' of a creature for the 3D Terrarium client. Like the ant we saw in an earlier post.

Robot ants? :)

Looks like he could be planning something like Mechmania that UIUC holds every year. Write AI for your mechs, drop them in the pilots seat and have at it on the Terrarium like board.

It would explain the work on this so called "terrain engine" and the 3-d rendering Mitch has been working on.

If that's not the case, someone want to help me write it? :)

I would really love to see a new version of Terrarium. It is such a fun timewaster, and unless someone comes close enough to my workstation to see the names of the classes and functions I'm working on, they just assume I am 'working'. :-)

If the next version has anything to with robots, I would be all over it. I first discovered Terrarium while searching for a robot war like simulation.
