My new love!

I am smitten!

I'm in love again! And this time the spanking new Audi S5 has stolen my heart. There is something about men and cars. Both of them attract each other mutually. I find a divine pleasure sitting behind the wheel, and enjoying the wide open road. That also tells you why I love road trips soo much! I often get recharged and completely rejuvenated in a nice long road trip!

Anyway, coming to the point of this post - I saw the new S5 on roads today. I had read/heard about it and finally today saw it on road. Needless to say, I followed the car for a good 10 minutes forgetting my etiquette. Soon after, I drove to the nearest Audi dealership here in Redmond, WA.

I should say that Audi has done a great job in styling. It's almost a cross between a Maserati and Aston Martin - it's got those distinctive curves and tail lights that lead you to believe that it's an Aston Martin Vanquish - but, of course! The sleek front LED lamps coupled with the bi-xenon's are mesmerizing. Interiors are gorgeous and to die for. The only thing I didn't like is the steering wheel and the paneling options - The steering is very lame and it's got a cheap feel to it. The paneling, I couldn't make out what they were trying to do. Off all the three available options I think the one with the sporty black pseudo wood panel is the best (I forget the official name for it). They have a very impressive list of colors available - my favorite is the metallic grey sorta like dark silver. I couldn't test drive the car and as a result have been unable to sleep since yesterday. I've got my name down for this weekend's test drive. Audi's also done a very good job below the hood. It's a V8 FSI engine sporting 354 horses with a not so impressive 325lbs of torque. Another eyebrow raising feature is the very very impressive audio system - It's got the Bang & Olufsen  system with 12 speakers and 2 sub's which put-out a deafening 500 watts music - sheer pleasure!. I always believed that music should not just hit you, it has to go through you! All in all, Very impressive! I can't wait to get behind the wheel...and see what the 0-60 looks like! lol! I am joking, I am good law abiding citizen. And, the best part, you don't have to barter an arm & a leg, the MSRP is about $50,900 pre-options. Pretty sweet price compared to the stuff you are getting.

OMFG! What a car!
