Office 14 – Microsoft Office through the Web Browser

Today Microsoft announced that Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OneNote would be available to users through a web browser in Office 14. Yes, this means no desktop installation to access great authoring and reviewing features of Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OneNote. To better explain what this means and to see some screen shots, have a look at this article (http://www.microsoft.com/Presspass/Features/2008/oct08/10-28PDCOffice.mspx), where Microsoft Senior Vice President Chris Capossela discusses this is in a little more detail.

Also, a video / demo is available for you to get a live action look, check out the Office 14 for Web Channel 9 Video
