Many of the folks who read this blog read it on the home page of the MSDN Web Services Developer Center. On the dev center we added a new section on the hompage entitled "Most Active Web Services Newsgroup Discussions". This is an ASP.NET control that is monitoring the microsoft.public.dotnet.framework.webservices.enhancements and the microsoft.public.dotnet.framework.webservices newsgroups. The top 5 threads with the most recent posts are linked. Since this was pretty much handed to me as a free new feature to the site I did not think much of it, but I have been very pleasantly surprised at how well this identifies the quality discussions on the newsgroups. I know I personally have a hard time keeping up on all the newsgroup posts, but this has proven to be a pretty good method for culling some worthwhile info. Of course you don't get to see that post where some unlucky person asks a question and you are the only person who knows the answer, but it does a pretty good job at identifying some very interesting discussions.
Just another reason to keep checking back at the Web Services Developer Center.
