Hey - What does this button do?
It's probably no big surprise to anyone that I happen to love Microsoft and our products. I'm also the first to say that neither we or our products are perfect. But too often, we get beat up over issues with our software and our competition or the media warn the public that Microsoft products are insecure and that they would be better served by another OS or browser. This scare tactic implies that their recommedation is actually better. An article in the current issue of SD Times by Jeff Duntemann puts things into perspective. Jeff is a developer, technology editor and author as well as the founder of PC Techniques/Visual Developer Magazine and his article The Lessons of Software Monoculture gives a viewpoint that most technology types know well, but seldom admit. The battles between Microsoft and Linux or Mozilla and IE aside, Jeff gets down to the real heart of the matter. It's definitely worth the read.
That's all for tonight
Scott
