Microsoft CRM Server setup logfile

Just a short post about where you can find the logfile if you run into problems while installing Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 on a server. It became clear to me that a lot of people do not know where to find this file. So right now I hope everybody will write this down: C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Microsoft\MSCRM\Logs. The file is called crm30svrsetup.log

I made "Administrator" bold since normally you would not use that account to install Microsoft Dynamics CRM, so change this name into whatever account you used to install Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

As you probably have noticed by now, you cannot find only the server setup logfile, but you can also find these files:

  • crm30clientsetup.log
  • crm30exchangesetup.log
