Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 - Multi tenant

The NDA on Titan officially dropped on October 1st and you probably already have read this either on Michael's, Philip's or Simon's blog. Simon did go wild and couldn't stop writing about Titan and that resulted in some great posts about some of the new features such as Multi-Lingual and Duplicate detection.

As of today I will start using the official name; Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0

By starting of my first post about Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0, I wanted to highlight how the product team listened to feedback they got from you; our partners and customers. The product team received a lot of great feedback through either the direct feedback option in v3.0 or through our community web site and they tried to incorporate a lot of that feedback in v4.0. Please keep providing them feedback with v4.0 as well.

Multi-tenancy?

With Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 we have build in support for multiple tenants. Multi-tenancy is about sharing hardware and software, NOT transactional data. The customizations are performed at the tenant level and each tenant can have their own set of customizations. Each installation will have a base language and on top of that you can install language pack(s), which can be activated per tenant. A user can have access to multiple tenants.

I, personally, see great value for this new feature for enterprise companies.

Hi Menno,

I heard they would drop the number(4.0) in the official name. That has been changed?

Hi everyone,

I would like to know if MS CRM 4.0 offers some integration tool between each tenant created. Image this situation, a regional CRM: so you have 4 countries and 1 region, 5 tenants in total. There is someone that wants to see all oportunities created in a Regional Account, so the regional CRM should catch all oportunities related to each local country accounts and show them all in the same place... Is this posible??? Am I imaginating so much???

Thanks!

Pablo
