Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 hits RTM!

I was supposed not to blog about this, but now that Mary Jo Foley, Ben Vollmer and Michael Lu blogged about it doesn't matter anymore what I do. As of Friday December 14, the product team hit RTM (Release to Manufacturing) and I even could hear the champagne corks popping down in California!

I already expect a lot of questions about what this means for partners and customers. Well typically, RTM is at least one or two weeks before General Availability (GA) because the RTM version must be burned to disc and boxed etc. My rule of thumb to remember is RTM = BITS - GA = Media. After all the BITS passed legal and stuff it will be burned on DVD and made available on channels such as MSDN.

Please read on of my previous posts on what on-premise SKU's we will offer with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0. Enjoy our new version of CRM. Please be sure to keep giving the product team feedback about the product, as you can see they certainly have listend to you when building v4.0!
