Don't let the title confuse you, it's only my last post here at MSDN! As most of you know, I've been blogging on MSDN since 19 December 2005! It is time to move on...

I made the decision to move my blogging addiction to my very own domain. On the new location you can continue reading about freaky CRM stuff, but I'll mix it up with some additional topics that interest me and hopefully you guys as well.

It took me a lot of time and effort to design my new blog from the ground up. I want to thank Alex Vermeule, Scott Barnes Jaap Steinvoorte and Jron for their help and advice. Over time, I will slowly migrate all of my posts and comments.

Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1

Even though this is not a mobility blog I still wanted to update you guys that there a is update for the Windows Mobile Device Center on Vista only! It seems that some people had troubles synching and what not. I am using a WM6 device myself and did not encounter any problems, but I did upgrade my WMDC.

CWR Mobile CRM 1.1

A while ago I finally met Erik from CWR at Convergence. To think we both lived in the same country and than we meet on the other side of the ocean in San Diego, isn't that funny! I invited him together with c360 to show his CWR mobilty product on our monthly ISV call. People were really impressed and so was I. The product is great and brings the look and feel from Microsoft CRM to your PDA.

DST; it affects more than only your PC!

Since we are living a digital world, meaning we work with a PC or computer equipped machinery, we surf the web, blog and I can go on and on, Daylight Savings Time is a hot and important issue. If people or companies forget to apply the DST patches they could run in some problems. I thought I was ready to go, but I forgot something...

Yes did you got the brainwave now to? When you have a SmartPhone or a PocketPC you also need to apply some kind of a DST fix. I totally never thought about this until I was surfing some mobile sites. Microsoft has published a registry fix on their website but this will take some manual work, you can find it here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923953. There is one weblog that has published this fix already compiled into a .CAB file. I am not saying you should trust a file just published on a blog site, so in case you don't trust it he also published the code on his blog and you can compile your own fix.

So all you people that are using Microsoft CRM Mobile, make sure you also patch your mobile devices. Do not think you only need to patch your PC or Laptop! Make this clear to your System Administrators.

I haven't done a lot with it but I just got informed that the new CRM Mobile Express for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 is live and available for download....

The new Client is a shared-source initiative sponsored by Microsoft (Yes you did read that correctly!) that offers a lightweight, mobile browser client for viewing and editing data in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0. Now you can manage important Sales, Service and Marketing information from your Windows Mobile, Smartphone and HTML 4.0 compatible devices!

It includes an Administration Console and it comes complete with three documents - an Installation guide, a User guide and a Developer guide, as well as the application source code for both the CRM Mobile Express Client and Administration Console applications (Yes you did read that correctly as well!). Don't you love editing pictures. Well I couldn't sleep and designed the new Zune with the new Microsoft CRM Mobile client. I must say it looks pretty decent. You can judge yourself and leave me comments.

Since todays hype is showing a leaked picture of the Zune together with some specs I thought it would be fun to post about it.

As we can remember the Marketing guys from Microsoft demonstrated our new mobile client at the World Wide Partner Conference (WWPC) on a PSP....

Our new mobile client lets users browse to the CRM data through an Internet-enabled device such as a cell phone or a PDA. Users do not need to install any software on the device, they just need Internet access to browse to the mobile CRM website! Because the mobile software outputs standard HTML 4.0, almost any Internet enabled device should be able to access Microsoft CRM data using this software.

So I think my new project is going to be if I can get the new mobile client on Zune, I think that should be possible! Just look at the size of that display and what about the option to play music while you are browing some account details...or am I to freaky now?

What would you think about this guys? Let me know.

Introduction:

CRM Mobile is a mobile client for Microsoft CRM 3.0 and it is NOT released as of yet!!! It is a .NET CF 2.0 and SQL CE 3.0 based thick client and works in both connected (Wireless WAN (GPRS\EDGE) or cradled) and disconnected modes.

Device support: PPC 03, PPC 03 2nd Ed and PPC 05 with or without radio. It will be localized to German, French and Spanish.
