ASP.NET Webcast Series

The live registration numbers are ridiculous.

We're at something like 80% capacity to host 60,000 live atttendees during this last two weeks. I'm glad folks like this webcast series we're pulling together in the last two weeks of October. If you want to sign up, please do so at www.aspnetwebcasts.com. You can watch them live or ondemand 12 hours after the live webcast is over. The webcasts don't start until October 18, 2004.

The link is broken, it should be:
http://www.aspnetwebcasts.com/

BTW, the webcasts are awesome and just keep getting better!

Sorry about that as Maxwell Smart would say. I keep wanting to type asp.netwebcasts.com. I fixed the link above. Thanks for catching this Chris.

Hi George,

I was told that one could not watch the webcasts at 56.6kbps. Is this correct or was the information wrong?

you can watch it but it's not a great experience. You're better off downloading them and watching them on your machine. search my blog and you'll find instructions on downloading Microsoft Webcasts.

Georgeo,

Re: http://blogs.msdn.com/msdnwebcasts/articles/180027.aspx, I am having problems using NeTransport (plus it is not freeware). Do you have any other suggestions, or others who have been successful downloading streaming media? Also, why can Microsoft not store .wmv files of the webcasts? That would benefit everyone concerned!

Legal issues, processes, have slowed us down. We're looking into it.

I am still unable to use NeTransport. If I sent someone a screenshot, would you be ale to help me troubleshoot? I need your email address though!

Thanks for your help!

# re: ASP.NET Webcast Series

My bad - was within a vpn so even though I had the port open as described (http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/protect/ports.mspx), I was previously unable to connect. Now that I have succeeded, works like a charm. Users might want to take advntage of the multiple threads to speed it up (NeTransport).

Thanks once more!
