Feel like abusing or praising me direct?

This month I dub thee "Live.com" month, as clearly there is a lot of new toys coming out around this space (keep an eye on it and some other things on the horizon).

One thing you'll now note about my blog is the fact that you can IM me direct should you have a burning desire - this can be done via the right Messenger Panel.

Next, I'd love to see Messenger + Comments integrated as that would be more fun and relevant to tomorrows blogger's.

Off to enter that as a wishlist for the Live.com team...

Mr Barnes! Following up on the reach of the "Rich Internet Application" term, I'm sure you've seen this...

MIX:08

Where your buddy Steve Ballmer is a keynote speaker. Check out the session topics:

Building Rich Internet Applications Using Microsoft Silverlight 1.1, Part 1 & 2

Apparently the term exists within the Microsoft space.

Like I said in my original post - why *I choose* to use the word Interactive.

It was more of provocation of thought around RIA and i honestly wanted to stimulate a depth conversation around how RIA as a term gets abused or thrown out there the moment something smacks of "interactive" or "flash".

I think certain parties abuse the term, and thus why both brands at times straw poll audiences to see whether it's a term that should be continued to be invested in.

In the early days Macromedia formed a committee to remove the term RIA as well, so Microsoft aren't alone in this delimma ;)

It all comes back to definition or "governance" of such term.
