Shailesh Prakash - Lead Program Manager, MSN Shopping

Shailesh Prakash is a Lead Program Manager in MSN Shopping. He spent the last decade working for the “dark side” – Sun Microsystems and AOL – but finally saw the light and came to work for the greatest company in the world, Microsoft! He has a Bachelors and Masters degree in Computer Science, and incidentally still in the process of paying back the student loans for his MBA.

He adores his two year old daughter, Nina, and has his wife Kalpna’s permission to claim the fact that he is indeed *the* boss in the house. Shailesh and his family live in Redmond, and enjoy gardening, horseback riding and going for long walks. He works out when he can and has been claiming that he will lose the extra 20 lbs within six months for the last 5 years!

Dude! stumbled across this posting by chance -- remember me from our days at Sun? I used your JNI library and we got into roaring arguments about when one should use an EJB vs. a Singleton class! What a co-incidence -- I now work for froogle! BTW -- I think we kick your ass and I still think a Singleton Class is more powerful than an EJB...we should catch up -- jmarc@google.com
