Testing 1, 2, 3…Microsoft Microphone in Facebook

Hello Everyone,

Microphone is Microsoft’s online community hosted on Facebook where students can talk directly to people at Microsoft.  Microsoft is a really big company with lots of employees, lots of customers, lots of products, and lots of websites.  The bigger a company gets, the bigger the gap between the people who build products and the people that use them.  That’s bad.  We created Microphone to close that gap.  Now we can hear what you really think – the good, the bad, and the ugly (yes, we know about the RROD)…

Every week we host a new Microsoft employee from all areas of the company ranging from Xbox to Surface to Windows Live Messenger!  These employees, and many more regularly check into Microphone’s forums to have great conversations with students about using technology, getting a job, or Microsoft as a whole.  We also provide polling and media pages for you to tell us what you think.  And, each month we do a great giveaway XBOX 360s, Zunes, Software and more!

Microsoft Student Partners have been key in our effort to reach other technical students.  Their voices have been a huge hit in our community to help us ask the right question and provide some great answers themselves! Currently, the MSPs on Microphone have created over 5,000 posts in their conversations with our audience!
