Announcing Microsoft Office Enterprise, coming to Open Value Subscription on October 1st!

Since the launch of Open Value Subscription here in the U.S. back on March 1^st, we have been talking to many Partners about the benefits and savings opportunities that Open Value Subscription and the Up to date discount offer to them and their clients. In addition, we have been asking for and receiving a bunch of great input and feedback from you about the program. One such piece of feedback that we received during this time is the desire to have Microsoft Office Enterprise Edition available through the Open Value Subscription Program.

Well, starting on October 1, 2008, Microsoft Office Enterprise Edition will be available for the first time through Open Value Subscription as one of the Enterprise product offerings! Here are the part numbers you’ll need for Office Enterprise Edition through Open Value Subscription, starting in October:

• Part #: 76J-02513 – Office Enterprise Edition Annual SKU
• Part #: 76J-02597 – Office Enterprise Edition through Platform offering
• Part #: 76J-02563 – Office Enterprise Edition buy-out SKU (at end of 3-year subscription for those who want to convert to perpetual licenses from non-perpetual subscription licenses)
• Part #: 76J-02647 – Office Enterprise Edition through Platform option buy-out SKU (at end of 3-year subscription for those who want to convert to perpetual licenses from non-perpetual subscription licenses)

For those not familiar with the Microsoft Office Enterprise Edition, it takes the Microsoft Office Professional Plus edition of Office and adds on the additional benefits of Microsoft Office Groove and Microsoft Office OneNote, all in one Office package. (Remember that Office Professional Plus is the Volume Licensing version of Office Professional which adds the additional benefits of: Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007, Microsoft Office Communicator 2007, Integrated enterprise content management, Integrated electronic forms, and Advanced Information Rights Management and Policy Capabilities to Microsoft Office Professional, all at a lower estimated retail price than the Microsoft Office Professional product). With October just a few short weeks away (hard to believe it, but it’s true), now is the time to start thinking about which of your clients may be the right fit for Microsoft Office Enterprise and the Open Value Subscription program. And since I anticipate this may be asked, yes, Microsoft Office Enterprise through Open Value Subscription will be included in the Big Easy Partner Subsidy promotion, so you will see it on the Big Easy site in October.
