Updated Junk E-Mail Filter for Outlook 2003

A more recent filter definition for e-mail that is considered “junk” by Outlook 2003 is now available for download.

You need to incorporate something alone the lines of spambayes - a great outlook plugin.

The way the junk filter in outlook seems to work is it's hard coded and doesn't learn as the spammers adapt.

As long as the spammers all use different techniques together bayesian filtering will keep up.

I beleive the reason that outlooks spam filter does this is because microsoft has already run the spam filter against billions of spam logged through the hotmail and msn spam reporting filters. Because the spam filter has already be taught on billions of examples, adding a few more isn't going to help. Plus a new filter should get released regularly which will be updated with a newer set of billions of e-mails.
