Well a big loss for West Michigan is a big gain for Redmond.

You've always been a Tech Evangelist at heart - now it is official. If anyone could convince developers to shed their "pixel-based, two-dimensional UI" history and embrace the future it is you. I've already built an "Avalon Reference PC" at home for testing just waiting for the possibilities. Maybe you could get the title of "Avalon Jedi"? probably not, kind fits though.

And, hey, I know it might be a huge pain to lug a bunch of audio-visual equipment all the way across the country - I'd be glad to haul it away for no cost to you at all!!! :-)

Have a Starbucks on me!!!

Sounds like you'll fit right in with your new co-workers.

We'll miss your enthusiasm, technical expertise and loyal support of our user group. (You already are an evangelist in my mind!)

I know you'll like Redmond and Seattle area. I spent several long weekends there last summer to visit my sons (one of whom works at Microsoft, too!) and new grand-daughter, and loved the Seattle summer and scenery.

Keep in touch. I'd love to see you when I get back there next summer!

Well, I hope this now means you will finally get to write a book. And I KNOW that it will be an awesome book. Mike you are tremendous communicator, presenter, and entertainer! Just pick a topic and go!

Congratulations on your new assignment, I will miss our interactions, and your involvement on the NxOpinion project. Your impact on this project will be felt for many years. I hope the next time you or a family member has to go to the E.R., you will see the "Powered by NxOpinion" sticker around in the room, on the Doc's handheld, telemetry, etc.
