About Nathan Brixius
I am a software engineering lead at Microsoft, working on Solver Foundation. My team is responsible for the managed code API (Solver Foundation Services), as well as our interior-point and stochastic solvers. My PhD concerned solving combinatorial optimization problems on computational grids, so I am passionate about making Solver Foundation a complete platform for planning, scheduling, and optimization.
On my previous team, Dynamics Online, I built marketplace and internet marketing services for a wide array of Dynamics applications. I spent my first five years at the 'Soft developing key portions of Microsoft Office Project and Project Server 2007. I am a proud graduate of the University of Iowa and Facebook friend of Hayden Fry.
I plan on using this space as a place to jot down my thoughts about Solver Foundation, online services, .NET development, and maybe some Project stuff too.
