MIX highlights available online, sessions coming...

If you - like me - didn't get along to the the MIX Web 2.0 conference in Las Vegas this week, then don't despair - sessions from the conference are going to be posted at the Virtual MIX site within the next month or so.  In the meantime, there is a really interesting video from the BillG keynote on how the BBC are looking at using the internet (and Vista) to provide a seamless internet/live TV viewing experience.  The Vista client in particular is very cool - kind of like an online gateway to the BBC, that allows you to search for and watch shows, interact with the community and share content with your friends.  The BBC have a huge archive of material - going back to the 1930's - and they are looking at ways to make this available to consumers via the web (I really, really feel like watching some old episodes of Fawlty Towers right now).  Super interesting stuff, and it definitely heralds big changes in the way media and content companies will be finding new ways to distribute their wares going forward.
