New architecture site: Skyscrapr
skyscrapr, quietly launched last week, is a new architecture blogging site designed to make architecture accessible to all. The basic premise of the site is that while plenty of people are interested in IT architecture, not everyone understands what architects in the industry do, nor do they understand the various 'types' (solution, infrastructure, strategic, industry etc.) of IT architecture practiced. This site aims to shed some light on the role of the architect, and provides a great collection of resources, including the 'archipedia' (a wiki for architecture terms) as well as an architecture glossary.
I expect to see quite a bit of cross-posting from various architect blogs into the site - there's already some ARCast content there, no doubt more is coming soon.
Well worth a look, even if it's just to check out the amusing architecture sing-along video :)
