Student Day 2007

Microsoft Student Day is the premier IT student event offering you an interactive insight into the IT industry. If you have just started studying in ICT, you will be inspired by the latest innovations and trends in technology from Microsoft and other leading IT organisations. For those of you who are graduating soon, come and learn about career opportunities and ask those questions you’ve always wanted to ask. This event will be invaluable for students studying all levels of Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Management and Information Technology.

Student Day 2007 Auckland
Student Day Auckland was an huge event, many helpers, many students and many prizes not to mention some great sessions. The overall day was a big hit with students, with students enjoying many of the sessions, including Silverlight, Mash up the Web, Robotics and XNA and also our guest speaker, Steve Rileys insight into security. The students made the most of the "Meet the Boss" session, grilling the graduates and managers from Intergen, HP and Simpl about the real questions that students have. The day was hampered with bad weather but the students still came with force, driving up in mini buses all the way from Waikato to the students walking in the rain from Auckalnd and AUT University. The venue consumed a whopping 700 students throughtout the event, with students walking home with a fleet of prizes, from Xbox Packs, LCD Screens, HP IPAQ's and hardware and software prizes.

Student Day 2007 Wellington
Student Day Wellington favoured well with Wellington students pulling students all the way from Palmerston North for the event, this event also brought 4 industry reps to the students to talk about a life in IT.

Student Day 2007 Christchurch/Dunedin
The south this year hit Student Day in big numbers really taking opportunity if this event and what it has to offer for students studying in IT. The atmosphere was great and they was huge buzz with the students at both events. Look forward to seeing you all next year.

Student Day 2006
Thank you for those of you who attended Student Day 2006. These events were a huge success with over 1000 students attending from around the country. We have heard your feedback and suggestions and this year promises to be an even bigger & better event with more industry speakers and prizes.
