As of today any student that attends the following institutes:

You can now use your student email to verify yourself at http://www.dreamspark.co.nz and start downloading Microsoft Developer and Designer Software for FREE.

You can also join our community site and post up questions about the software at http://www.dreamspark.co.nz/community

Step 5: This is the Verification Page. Here select your country (New Zealand) and your school/organisation and then click on the select and continue button

How do you get software via DreamSpark?

If you are a student at University of Auckland or University of Canterbury, all you need to do is log on to www.dreamspark.co.nz , enter your Student ID and download!

If you are a tertiary student at another institute, you can stil get access to the software, find out more here.

- Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Professional Edition – Our single most popular developer tool to build games, desktop apps, web sites, robotic programs etc.

- Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition – Get some experience on how to setup a secured network at home.

- Microsoft Expression Studio – Are you a creative? – design graphics, encode/edit videos, build websites, or use our templates, build Silverlight apps for the web.

- SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition – Do you want to know how large companies store their data? – Learn how to build large functional databases using SQL Server 2005.

Dreamspark IS Now Available In NZ - Developer/Designer Software Free For Tertiary Students

Microsoft Dreamspark: NZ students can have free access to Professional Developer and Designer Software.

New Zealand students have the opportunity to access genuine, professional-level Microsoft software at no cost! Dreamspark aims to empower all tertiary students to expand their skills and knowledge with technology. Students interested in technology, looking to get into a career in IT, or just wanting to try it out can get their hands on Microsoft Developer and Designer software.

Students will need to verify they are enrolled at a recognised tertiary institution to access Dreamspark. Microsoft will be working together with New Zealand tertiary institutions over the next six months to set up the Dreamspark programme. Most large institutions will look at launching the programme on campus in 2009.

However students who want to start taking benefit of this new initiative now, can!! Dreamspark has aligned with the ISIC Card (International Student Identity Card ) to give any student instant access to the software. The ISIC Card is a global student card that provides a range of benefits from discounted travel to cheap student deals. All students need to do is purchase a card ($20/year) and use the membership number to gain access to the Dreamspark site as depicted below, IT'S THAT EASY!!
