Windows Messenger 5 was the first application I worked on at Microsoft. I was put
in charge of localization and I learned an amazing amount. Those of you who work in
English-speaking countries with only English-speaking customers probably have no clue
about the amount of work that Microsoft (and every other international software company)
has to do to make things work in many languages.
