Free OneNote "Webinar" for Teachers on October 7th

Published 02 October 08 02:22 PM | Mike_Tholfsen

Some of the education folks at Microsoft have put together a great new weekly series of free web seminars (or "webinars") for teachers called "Teacher Tech Tuesday". These webinars will demonstrate and explore Microsoft technology in the classroom, with a specific focus on teachers. Each of these webinars will be broadcast live, as well as recorded for future viewing. I will also be posting the entire series and a link to each webinar on this blog as soon as the rest are ready to share publicly.

OneNote 2007 is the first topic of this series. On October 7th at 1:00 Pacific Time, Tony Franklin, Microsoft Solution Specialist for the world renowned Philadelphia School of the Future, will be the presenter. I've had the opportunity to work with Tony on a few different OneNote projects over the past year or two and he is great. One of our more recent engagements was with Erin Gruwell and the Freedom Writer Teachers. (I'll be posting an update on that shortly.) Tony has worked closely with the School of the Future and he knows OneNote very well. The School of the Future uses OneNote extensively for many aspects of their day-to-day education process.

Do you know if the webinar requires a telephone for the audio or will the audio also be streamed?  This might be great to have a few teachers get together and watch in a classroom, but telephones are not always available.

If you don't know, could you pass on contact information for someone who would know?  I checked the registration page, and it was not clear who/where to contact for more information.

Thanks.
